Rest is a touching story of a young pianist, who helps a friend, a singer, learn Schubert's "Winterreise". In the process, the song "Rast" ("Rest" ) becomes an emotionally powerful companion to his fatal illness. The music provides a comforting catharsis that transcends the bitterness of death.
